Ann’s Boutique will play host to couture designer Matthew Christopher’s bridal fashions with an exclusive trunk show May 7th - 16th.

Christopher’s designs feature glamorous silhouettes and extravagant beading. His gowns are regularly featured in national bridal magazines such as Martha Stewart Weddings.

Local wedding gown designer Claire Mansir, owner of Crystal Bridal Gallery in Tysons Corner, is having a one day only trunk show this Saturday, March 27. You’ll save 15% on any of her beautiful designs and receive a free veil with your purchase.

I dropped by to say hello to my friend Sonia Sibay, owner of LeReve Bridal in Leesburg, on Friday. The name of Sonia’s store means “The Dream” in French and it really is a dreamy wedding boutique, housed in a historic home on Loudoun Street.

In addition to Sonia’s own designs, she also carries some lovely gowns from top designers. Bridal University 2010 kicks off January 24th with the experts at A Formal Affair, the popular bridal salon located in Warrenton. Fire up your laptop and get ready to take notes on wedding planning timelines and how to select the perfect bridal gown.

You’ll learn how to properly plan your wedding down to the smallest detail - and help reduce your stress. You’ll receive a complementary timeline and checklist to help you stay on track during the planning process. The latest gown styles and trends will be also be discussed, as well as what to consider when selecting the dress of your dreams.

As the first in a yearlong series of workshops presented by A Formal Affair, this session will lay the foundation for the planning process. Future workshops will provide additional ideas, tips and advice on planning.
