An “Intimate” Event at Bloomingdale’s

Friday, February 5th, 2010

What’s a honeymoon night without sexy lingerie? On Thursday, Feb. 11th, starting at 7pm, my friends at Bloomingdale’s Tysons Corner will host an “Intimate Event”. Experts from the lingerie department will be on hand to assist you with finding the best foundation garments to go with your wedding gown and the perfect intimates for your honeymoon.

After visiting the lingerie department, stroll over to the (Very) Social Registry and speak with manager Brenda Ellis and her staff about the latest trends in wedding gift wish lists - from tableware to cookware to home goods, you’ll find everything you need for your bridal registry.

To say “I Do” for this fun filled Bride’s Night Out, contact Brenda at 703.556.4640.

Cool stuff for you & your maids at Trousseau

Friday, October 9th, 2009

I checked in on my client Sarah Wiener, owner of Trousseau Ltd., the other day to see what new and neat things she has in her beautiful lingerie and bridal accessory store. Countless brides have been expertly fitted with the proper foundation garments to make their dresses look their best. But Trousseau also has a lot of fun things for the bride and her maids. Here are just a few items Sarah showed me:

The Hanky Panky One Size Fits All Thong. This lovely bit of lingerie, available in regular and low rise, makes a great gift because there’s no guesswork when it comes to size. The bridal thongs feature Swavorski crystals spelling the words Bride, I Do, Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor and are available in white, ivory and pastel colors. There are also thongs without the crystals available in 25 other colors.

Bra Bags & Panty Cases by Brag. To keep your molded cup bra looking, and fitting, its best, store it in a bra bag. The panty case makes a perfect traveling companion.

Classy Bride Racer Back T Shirts. These little shirts are a lot of fun for the bachelorette party. Sarah carries the white racer back T’s with Swavorski crystals spelling the words Bachelorette Party, Bride, Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor.

Haley Hill Designs jewelry. These gorgeous chokers are designed around antique shoe buckles with Swavorski crystals and pearls. Bracelets and earrings complete the look.

Trousseau is located at 306 Maple Avenue West in Vienna. Drop by and see all the wonderful lingerie and bridal accessories. For hours call 703.255.3300 and visit them at www.trousseaultd.com.

Trousseau

Over the bridal show season, I’ve had an opportunity to make some brides very happy with $50 gift certificates from Trousseau.

Trousseau is a great little boutique whose motto is “dedicated to the art of romance“. How true - lovely lingerie, bridal accessories, headpieces, jewelry, shoes, chocolates, candles, lotions, powders and potions are all beautifully displayed. The sales professionals will find you the perfect bra and foundation garments to give your gown a fantastic fit. Area bridal salon owners constantly refer their brides to Trousseau for that finishing touch.

Tucked away in a little shopping center at 306 West Maple Avenue in Vienna (look for the Dairy Queen), Trousseau is open Monday - Saturday, 10am-8pm. To learn more about Trousseau, visit www.trousseaultd.com.
