What To Expect From A Bridal Expo

Provided by bridesandgroomsexpo.com

Bridal Expos are a great place to meet a variety of service providers and wedding related goods in one place! Many of your friends who have attended them in the past will tell you to expect to be prepared to sample food, learn about theme trends and venue styles.

Plus, one of the nicest parts for attendees are the swag bags and door prizes! Door prizes can range from discounts off of goods and services, to gift cards for romantic dinners at local restaurants – to inclusive getaway weekend trips!

Prepare To Go

Planning a wedding is a fun and exciting time, and the term the more the merrier is never truer! Brides, grooms, parents and attendants often come in groups! This is not an event to attend alone. You want to share this time and experience with the people that mean the most to you.

Create self stick labels or business cards you can give the vendors. You will be asked to sign an attendance sheet and give the same information repeatedly. Having a pre-made sticker to place in the attendance book will save you time and writers cramp. Usually, one sticker is needed per bridal party. Include the couple’s names, phone numbers, address, email, wedding date and number of people in attendance. It seems like a lot – however, the more information the vendors have, the more prepared they are to serve you.

What To Do When You Find Something You Must Have

Some exhibitors offer on the spot “Discounts and Show Specials” which may require a small deposit, so bring your checkbook or ATM card. Allow time for this to happen and be prepared to buy that day.

Treat the meeting like an interview, with a twist. You may find one or more vendors that you would like to schedule a personalized consultation with following the show. If there is a product or service you are interested in, be sure to get a business card from the supplier and follow up with them for a private, more personalized meeting.

The next Brides and Grooms Expo in the Northern Virginia Region will be held Sunday, August 7 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston. Advance discounted tickets are available at bridesandgroomsexpo.com/register.html
