Chantelle and Josh chose The Whitestone Country Inn for their summer wedding after having a couple of picnics there; they fell in love with the grounds. Chantelle and Josh’s wedding was classic chic with a bit of a vintage feel. Chantelle and Josh chose ivory, blush and gold as their colors. Chantelle wore a stunning, classic ivory and lace appliqué dress complemented by her mother’s veil, which Chantelle’s grandmother had made. Her “something blue” was “I Do” on the bottom of her wedding shoes.
There were about 200 guests present for the wedding. Personal friends of Chantelle and Josh conducted the wedding and read scriptures; it was a sweet, simple ceremony. The reception was definitely a fun atmosphere with Music In Motion at the helm! There was a full on dance party and there was a very special old society tradition of being sung out as a couple from the sorority. Josh even played a little air guitar, which is one of my very favorite things.
There was a cake for all of the guests, but with Chantelle avoiding gluten, their wedding cake was homemade by Chantelle’s Nana. It was a scrumptious gluten free strawberry cake. The Whitestone Inn catered the meal, which was delicious!
At the end of the night, Chantelle and Josh went down by the lake where it was quiet and performed a foot washing ceremony for each other. It was humbling for us to watch this sweet couple humble themselves, and serve each other quietly.
