Michelle and Matt: Easy Elegance on Clearwater Beach

Michelle and Matt aimed for a stress free wedding and they got it! The two have been together for a long time and just wanted to make it official and celebrate their love with their friends, family and their adorable son. They held the ceremony on the terrace at the Hyatt Regency, Clearwater Beach to take advantage of the amazing views it offers of the Gulf of Mexico. Their entire bridal party was relaxed and cracking jokes while they got ready for the day’s festivities.

This no nonsense couple wanted to keep things simple and focus on having a great time, but Michelle and Matt couldn’t help but add a touch of nautical flair to their celebration. They used sea shells and starfish in their decor and even made their place cards out of sand dollars. The napkins and other accessories at their reception were adorned with anchor graphics and colored navy blue for a seaside feel.

Shades of blue were the common color element that Michelle and Matt kept throughout their decor. The cake was accented with turquoise, the floral arrangements were studded with irises and blue hydrangea for an extra color pop and the late night lighting scheme was a deep indigo. Michelle’s bridesmaids wore flowing light blue gowns that mimicked the airy feel of the beach while Matt’s groomsmen went for a country club chic look of khakis, white shits and navy blue vests.
