Amy And Tom: Southern Charm in Savannah

Amy and Tom met in their shared hometown of Chicago, but when this LA based couple started planning their wedding, they chose Tom’s college stomping grounds, Savannah, Georgia. Tom studied art in Savannah and fell in love with this charming city’s history and tranquil park-like setting. Amy had never seen the city herself, but had always wanted to, so when Tom suggested it as a destination wedding location she was totally on board!

This adventurous couple held their wedding at Vic’s on The River, a restaurant featuring traditional Southern cuisine housed in a 19th-century warehouse in the heart of Savannah’s historic waterfront district. The historic building, designed and built by the famous New York architect, John Norris, overlooks the Savannah river and the Talmadge Memorial Bridge and is mere steps from several of the historic parks that give Savannah so much of it’s charm.

Amy’s drop waisted, pale blush gown with billowing ruffled skirt harkened back to old Southern style and we can’t get enough of her vintage fascinator veil and pearl accessories. Tom’s three piece gray suit was the perfect compliment to his bride’s look. The two looked amazing in all the fabulous photo locations they found in the historic district!
