Anna and Travis: Casual Elegance on Lake Michigan

Anna and Travis planned a casual wedding on the shores of Lake Michigan, at the Weko Beach House. They wanted a laid back setting that would allow their guests to relax and celebrate and the beach house was perfect. They didn’t let a little rain stop them either! After a brief shower that provided a beautiful stormy sky as a backdrop, the two were able to get some amazing photos on the beach and then party on the outdoor terrace their venue offered.

Anna looked beautiful in her flowing, empire waisted gown with lace detailing on its bodice, the picture of casual elegance. Her bridesmaids pink bouquets popped against their navy blue gowns which provided the perfect contrast to the sand and sky. Travis and his groomsmen wore three piece grey suits for an easy transition to a more casual look for the reception, where they enjoyed cigars on the terrace.

With navy blue and pink as the colors of the day and touches like vintage tableware and floating candles, the casual, homey feel that Anna and Travis wanted for their wedding was only enhanced. The vaulted ceiling and giant picture windows overlooking the lake brought the beachy vibe right inside and provided a light and airy atmosphere for dinner and dancing!
