Cecily and Leo ‘s vision of the perfect wedding was an intimate gathering that focused on their shared faith, so they decided on a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony with their closest friends and family in attendance. They chose The Hostess House in Vancouver, Washington for it’s cozy, family oriented feel and because the reception center is designed like a large home. It’s decorated in lush furnishings and boasts a large oak dance floor, indoor fountain and fireplace. The perfect spot for their laid-back family style tea party reception.
After their ceremony and signing of a traditional Jewish marriage contract, called a Ketubah, Cecily and Leo kicked off their vintage-styled tea party reception with a hora, a customary dance to bring the bride and groom good luck in their marriage. A collection of antique tea pots was used to serve and display a wide selection of teas from around the world. An adorable touch!
Cecily and her bridesmaids were lovely in their vintage-inspired looks. Cecily’s gown was classic A-line with a mid length train in antiqued lace and her ladies’ dresses were reminiscent of classic mid-century styling in a deep royal blue. All of their looks were topped off with fascinators, Cecily’s sporting a short veil. Leo was dapper in a three piece light gray suit with long tails. He paired his look with a royal blue vest and tie, fitting in with the theme of the day, while his groomsmen provided a bit of contrast in dark gray.
This traditional couple achieved their goal of having an intimate wedding that kept the focus on family, faith and tradition and even got to rock the dance floor!
