Sarah and Matt envisioned having a backyard wedding with a polished edge. They wanted that homey, rustic feel but also wanted to add refined touches. We think they achieved it beautifully. The high school sweethearts chose Matt’s uncle’s home for their big day because of its beautiful grounds, picturesque pond (where they held their ceremony) and of course, Matt’s uncle’s awesome vintage Chevy pickup!
Sarah was positively radiant in her antique lace gown with its dramatic train. She finished her look with a fingertip veil and a gorgeous bouquet of roses, peonies and mums in shades of pink, peach and red with leafy accents. Her bridesmaids were right on trend, looking fabulous in gray gowns. Matt and his groomsmen picked up on the ladies’ styling wearing gray slacks which they paired with pale blue shirts and pink ties. Matt wore a gray vest and bow tie, making him stand out from the guys.
The floral styling carried right through to the reception where gold chargers and lush greenery added the refinement Sarah envisioned and fun details like a giant Jenga game and repurposed wooden pallet bar kept the rustic homey vibe intact. After a delicious, al fresco dinner, Sarah, Matt and their guests hit the dance floor, under a tent draped in strung Edison lights, to party and celebrate their marriage. Congratulations Sarah and Matt!
