Sugar Sweet Inspiration

Life is serious enough. That’s what inspired the team behind this styled shoot to infuse a fun and whimsical element into their “Pour Some Sugar On Me” themed wedding. Cotton candy is not only a delicious childhood treat, it also looks vibrant and beautiful as a bridal bouquet. Ari from ARJ Productions in Fairfax, Virginia had this to say about the inspiration behind this fun and fabulous shoot. “Our floral design was created to resemble soft, fluffy cotton candy with full and lush blooms in an array of variations of pink hues and textures. Our tablescape combined a palette of varying pinks with touches of rich gold in our flatware and glassware. Our invitation suite and custom menus used graphics and subtle pinks and blues to resemble cotton candy.”

Plenty of candles and an abundance of pink roses, garden roses and hydrangeas added elegance and romance. The bride’s unique layered lace gown with plunging neckline and sheer back was an absolute knockout, provided by Boutique by B Belle. The gown was expertly topped off by her playful hair styling, a soft, overflowing top bun that resembled puffy cotton candy and her muted, natural make up with pink cheeks and lips coordinated with the delicate pink color scheme. Vintage furniture in pink velvet and hand scripted signs added unique touches that only enhanced the whimsical theme.
