Ashley and Christopher’s Modern Beachside Wedding

Ashley and Christopher met through mutual friends in New Jersey, but have always shared a love of travel and adventure. When it came time to plan their big day, a destination wedding in Playa del Carmen, Mexico was an easy choice. They both adore the beach and the Gran Porto Resort offered them the perfect spot for an intimate gathering of friends and family with a colorful, modern spin.

Ashley was stunning in her champagne colored mermaid cut gown with its sparkling beaded detailing and dramatic lace train. Her bridesmaids were beautifully beachy in flowing pink gowns. Christopher was handsome while rocking his blue suit and his groomsmen shed their jackets and slipped on flip flops for a more laid back tropical look.

After they exchanged their vows in a beachfront gazebo draped with white chiffon, Ashley, Christopher and their guests got some fun photos on the beach before moving inside for the reception. Details like colorful painted starfish and seashells highlighted the tropical theme and modern touches like floral accents in colors reminiscent of sea glass completed the decor. The intimate group of friends and family got to mingle and enjoy a delicious dinner before the DJ ramped up the party and got everyone on the floor to dance the night away!
