Maris and Grady: Classic and Cool in Cabo

Maris and Grady’s traditional Cabo destination wedding had a decidedly modern twist when it came to styling. The day started with first looks followed by a beachfront ceremony, right on the sand. The weather was gorgeous and the sun shone brightly on the happy couple as they exchanged vows. The wooden arbor that served as their wedding altar was decorated in large palm leaves to celebrate their tropical surroundings, but the wedding party wore earth tones, the ladies in non-matching gowns that flowed in the ocean breeze, the guys in gray suits. Most of the guests chose to go barefoot and after their first kiss as husband and wife, Maris and Grady posed for portraits on the sand as the sun set and sightseers happened by on horseback.

Maris looked absolutely dreamy in her gown with its full flowing skirt and deep V bodice with open sides. She finished her look with a loose chignon that allowed delicate tendrils to perfectly frame her face and kept things beachy by going barefoot. Her bridesmaids’ earth toned dresses ranged in color from taupe and gray to white and all of the ladies carried large tropical themed bouquets for a pop of Cabo color. Grady and his groomsmen’s gray suits were paired with white shirts left slightly open at the collar for a laid-back beach wedding look.

At the reception, dark wood tables were set with white plates accented by monstera palm leaves under crisp white napkins and monochromatic green centerpieces of palm leaves and eucalyptus completed the look. Cool modern lounge furniture was set up around the space to give the evening a more relaxed atmosphere and plenty of votive candles gave a warm glow to the open air celebration. Strung Edison lights hung high above the dance floor and after dinner, guests got their groove on under the twinkling starts of a perfect Cabo San Lucas night!
