Caitlyn always dreamed of getting married in her grandmother’s backyard. She and Matt envisioned a simple, elegant wedding that kept the focus on family and close friends. On a gorgeous early June day, with flowers blooming throughout her grandparent’s home’s large yard, they had just that. The day started with Caitlyn and Matt getting ready on site with their closest friends and family nearby. Being at home created a calm and relaxed vibe for the day that carried throughout the festivities. Caitlyn shared a sweet moment with her dad before she and Matt shared their “first look”, taking a few minutes to themselves because, as Caitlyn said, they “wanted to have that special alone time before the ceremony to just talk and get over our nerves”. The couple’s adorable son Wesley served as ring bearer and Caitlyn and Matt opted to forego a traditional bridal party, keeping things simple and intimate.
Caitlyn was simply stunning in her traditional lace gown with its A-line skirting and deep V neckline. She finished her look with a fingertip veil and carried the perfect spring bouquet of roses, peonies and greenery with wildflower accents. Matt brought a pop of color to his light gray suit with a wine colored tie and simple red and white rose boutonnière and little Wesley was super cute in his red bow tie and suspenders.
After the ceremony, the party moved to a tented area on the other side of the house where tables were set with classic white linens and delicate centerpieces of pale blush roses in gilded vases. Plenty of votive candles and twinkle lights gave the space a romantic glow and dinner was served buffet style. Caitlyn and Matt got the party started on the dance floor and friends and family were invited to sign a large photo of the couple that will always be a reminder of their wonderful wedding day. Caitlyn’s dream wedding became a reality as the celebration continued into the night. Congratulations Caitlyn and Matt!
