Jordyn and Scott’s Cancun Destination Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Jordyn and Scott met while working at the same hotel. She was the wedding coordinator and he was the general manager of the restaurant. As Jordyn puts it, they “work every weekend and every holiday”. So when it came time to plan their wedding, they just wanted to get away from it all, to buck the normal wedding traditions and “wake up the day of the wedding in paradise”. What a great idea! They chose the Royalton Riviera Cancun for their modern boho beach wedding and decided not to have a full wedding party so no one would be obligated to travel if they couldn’t make it work. It was just them, their adorable two-year-old daughter, Charlie, and 30 of their closest friends and family. They exchanged vows under a stunning modern gazebo facing the beach, the structure is truly a work of art and totally unique. Just like Jordyn and Scott.

Jordyn was stunning in her Rue de Seine Avril gown with its Cornelli lace and cut out details on the train and sleeves. She finished her look with a floral crown and wore her hair loose and flowing, making her the perfect upscale boho bride. Scott was handsome in his tan suit and open-collared white shirt, laid-back beachy and cool. Charlie, who later stole the show on the dance floor, was super cute in her white crocheted dress and lace-up sandals. In her hair, she wore a crown like her mom’s, who’s multi-shade rose bouquet brought a vibrant pop of color to the modern, monochromatic styling.

After their “I dos” were exchanged, the couple had fun posing for pictures on the Royalton’s sleekly styled property before they headed to their reception on the beach. A live mariachi band serenaded them and their guests as they were treated to hors d’oeuvres and a tequila tasting. Dinner was served at long, family style tables and the decor was kept simply elegant with plenty of lush greenery, white and ivory florals and tropical palm leaves. After dinner and toasts, Jordyn shared a special dance with her dad before Charlie got everyone up and dancing on the LED dance floor. For Jordyn and Scott, foodies who love to dance, their Cancun destination wedding was everything they hoped for and more. Congratulations you two!
