Elia and Enrique: A Lush Garden Wedding by the Water

Elia and Enrique got married at the incredibly lush Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida. Originally the home of William and Marie Selby, the stunning property sits right on the Sarasota Bay and is home to ancient banyan and laurel trees and Marie’s extensive gardens. Elia and Enrique shared first looks in the garden before exchanging their vows as the sun lit up the bay. They stood under a gazebo draped in flowing white fabric and pledged their love to one another with their dearest friends and family close by. After their first kiss as husband and wife, the newlyweds strolled the grounds, posing for pictures along the way with the gorgeous gardens as their backdrop.

Elia was absolutely stunning in her Carolina Herrera gown with its clean, elegant lines and large bow embellishment in the back. She finished her look with simple sparkling earrings and carried a lush bouquet of white florals and greenery. Her bridesmaids wore black sequined Adrianna Papell gowns with delicate cap sleeves and carried bouquets to mimic Elia’s. Enrique and his groomsmen were dapper in traditional black tuxes and each gentleman pinned a simple white rose boutonnière to his lapel. The wedding party’s styling was timeless and elegant.

The reception took place under a canopy of banyan trees where farmhouse style tables were set with white linens, tall centerpieces of white florals and greenery and small vases of more greens like eucalyptus and palm leaves. Hundreds of twinkle lights lit up the trees, casting a romantic glow over the celebration and vintage-inspired chandeliers hung above the head table for added glamour. When Elia and Enrique shared their first dance, guests were quick to join in and celebrate the newlyweds and after dinner everyone enjoyed an amazing array of desserts.
