As a couple, Kelsey and Drew love spending time outdoors, boating and fishing. So an open-air reception on the water was a natural choice. After first looks and a traditional ceremony at the Palma Ceia Presbyterian church in Tampa, it was on to the Westshore Yacht Club. The newlyweds had fun posing for pictures by the water with their wedding party and Drew gave his groomsmen an on-theme gift of custom fishing rods! Kelsey had a more intimate gift for Drew. She and her photographer Andi Diamond, had created a surprise beauty album filled with romantic photos just for Drew, of his gorgeous bride.
Kelsey was stunning in her lace, trumpet cut gown with its sweetheart neckline and cathedral train. She finished her look with a delicate pair of pearl earrings and her “something borrowed”, a beautifully beaded cathedral-length veil that belonged to one of her bridesmaids. The seafoam green gowns that the bridesmaids wore were perfect for the setting and along with the blush pink and white floral bouquets they carried, enhanced the light and airy feel of the day’s styling. Drew and his guys were dashing in navy blue. Drew wore a navy bow tie and his guys sported straight white ties. Drew also celebrated the “something borrowed” tradition, wearing his grandfather’s wedding ring that still has his grandparents’ wedding date and initials engraved on the inside.
At the reception, tables were set with aqua linens and pastel centerpieces of white spray roses and large pink roses with plenty of lush eucalyptus. Accents of gold completed the table scapes and at the head table, contrasting linens in a pale blush tone gave the space added dimension. Strung Edison lights hung over head, casting a romantic glow over the dance floor and when a light sprinkle of showers rolled through Kelsey and her bridesmaids kept right on dancing. The showers were welcomed and brief, cooling the hot Tampa day and providing the ingredients for a gorgeous sunset. After dinner, Kelsey and Drew cut both their traditional four-tiered wedding cake and Drew’s fish themed Groom’s cake before heading back out to the dance floor to party with their guests. As the night came to a close, friends and loved ones saw the newlyweds off with sparklers in hand. Congratulations Kelsey and Drew!
