Cassidy and Anton met in the North Hills area of Raleigh when Cassidy had just moved from Iowa to North Carolina. She was apartment hunting and he asked if she was new in town. She told him that he’d probably never heard of the town she’d moved from. After talking for a bit they discovered that they’d both gone to college in Iowa and that their schools were only about an hour away from each other. They were amazed amazed at the coincidence.
Cassidy says that a key to their relationship is that they “make it a point to have a weekly date night”. It was on one of those dates that Anton popped the question. He and Cassidy were on their way to get sushi when Anton took a detour and drove to Duke Gardens, a spot that just happened to be Cassidy’s dream wedding venue. They strolled around taking pictures before relaxing on a park bench where Anton took out his iPad and played a slideshow of images from their relationship. As the slideshow ended, he got down on one knee and asked Cassidy to be his wife. Of course she said yes! They were even able to book Duke Gardens for the wedding! We can’t wait to see the pictures…
