Dani and Nik’s Vintage Chic Brooklyn Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Dani and Nik said “I do” at the historic Green Building in Brooklyn, NY. Originally built as a brass foundry in 1889, the space has been lovingly restored and now houses a chic event venue. Its DUMBO location was perfect for these fun Brooklynites who live nearby and wanted their wedding day to be a reflection of who they are, incorporating as many personal touches as possible. They started with a heartfelt ceremony in the building’s modern courtyard. After their first kiss as husband and wife, the newlyweds had a great time posing for portraits on the streets of the city they love, with the iconic Brooklyn Bridge standing tall in the background.

Dani was stunning in her fitted lace gown with its open back and delicate cap sleeves and her bridesmaids rocked art deco inspired cocktail dresses in pale blush with sequined details. All of the ladies carried bouquets of ranunculus, dahlias and spray roses with wildflower accents. Nik and his groomsmen were dashing in gray suits and brought the “something blue” with their funky blue bow ties. The reception featured boho-chic florals and vintage touches like the old suitcase they used as a card box. Pineapple Designs provided hand drawn scenes of special places, like the spot where the couple first met, to sit atop each guest table and Dani and Nik’s sweetheart table was draped in a glittering rose gold cloth. Family photos completed the decor and after dinner the newlyweds cut their four-tiered wedding cake with adorable puppy dog topper. Congratulations Dani and Nik!
