Amanda and Jason met online and instantly hit it off. It wasn’t long before the two were inseparable. About a year into their relationship, they went for a morning hike and as they were admiring the view, Jason got down on one knee. He told Amanda he wanted to spent the rest of his life with her and asked her to be his bride. Of course, she said yes and they began to plan their dream wedding. Both Amanda and Jason love house plants, so they wanted to incorporate them into their wedding decor. They filled the altar of their chosen 1800’s chapel with lush ferns and ivy. Adding pillar candles created a romantic glow for their ceremony, where a dear friend served as officiant.
Amanda was gorgeous in her mermaid-cut gown with its Spanish-inspired lace and sweetheart neckline. She finished her look with her late mother’s sapphire necklace. Amanda says the pendant was something her mother always wore, making it the perfect way to honor her. Jason was handsome in his navy blue tux with its silk shawl collar. He paired his look with black accessories and as Amanda says, “looked so sharp”!
At the reception, tables were set with pale taupe linens and black napkins. White florals were added to the greenery to create lush arrangements and the centerpieces were potted plants that guests were invited to take home. Colored glass goblets and brass candlesticks completed the tablescapes and vintage touches could be found throughout the space. The same friend who performed the ceremony served as emcee for the evening and at the end of the night everyone gathered on the dance floor. They passed around the mic so each guest could wish the newlyweds well and sealed the evening with a giant group hug. We are definitely feeling the love. Congratulations Amanda and Jason!
