Alex and Chine were together for nine years before Chine popped the question. He was a singer as a child, but had never shared his voice with Alex. He waited until the day he proposed. Chine planned an elaborate scavenger hunt with nine stations that symbolized their years as a couple. When Alex made it to the end of the hunt Chine was waiting for her, with musicians by his side. He serenaded her with their favorite John Legend song before asking her to be his wife. Of course, she said yes and the two got started planning the wedding of their dreams. Inspired by their travels together and the city where they fell in love, Miami, Alex and Chine created the perfect wedding day, filled with tropical style, love and laughter.
Alex was gorgeous in her lace trumpet-cut gown from Alfred Angelo. She finished her look with sparkling earrings and a cathedral length veil. Her bridesmaids were elegant in navy blue chiffon and all of the ladies carried rose bouquets in shades of purple. Chine and his groomsmen were dashing in three-piece suits. Chine in deep navy and his guys in gray.
At the reception, tables were set with black and white linens and gold chargers and tropical details took center stage. Vibrant florals were accented by banana palms and the table numbers were displayed in bamboo frames. After Alex and Chine’s first dance as husband and wife, they changed into traditional Nigerian wedding attire and really got the party started! The newlyweds love dining on great food and dancing all night, so that’s exactly what they did. Congratulations you two!
