Maddy and Scott’s Colorful Country Club Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Maddy and Scott met at work and hit it off right away. They’d been dating for a year and a half when Scott popped the question on Maddy’s birthday! He took her totally by surprise. Of course, she said yes, but that wasn’t the only surprise he had in store that night. After the proposal he took her home where all of her friends were waiting to throw her a surprise birthday/engagement party! Well done, Scott.

For the wedding, Maddy mixed boho style elements with traditional touches for stunning results. First, she and Scott exchanged vows on the lawn of the Blackstone Country Club. And after their first married kiss they had fun posing for photos with their wedding party.

Maddy was radiant in her boho-chic gown. She says she simply adored her lacy sleeves! At the same time, she wanted her bridesmaids to feel comfortable and beautiful. So, she let them pick their own gowns in different shades of pink. The results were divine. Each lady looked uniquely fabulous while carrying a colorful bouquet with eucalyptus accents. Meanwhile the groomsmen wore simple navy slacks and suspenders for a neutral look and Scott stood out in a full three-piece suit.

The reception tables featured dusty rose linens and gold chargers. Because it was outdoors, they added yard games to the mix. Maddy says “watching all the kids play and dance during the reception was adorable and hilarious.” All of the custom signage was made by one of Maddy’s bridesmaids and colorful florals were the main focus of the decor. At the end of the night, Maddy and Scott exited through a sea of sparklers and well wishes. Congratulations you two!
