Cass and Brett’s Charleston Inspired Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Cass and Brett met at Clemson University, however they didn’t start dating until several years later. Since they were both alums, they reconnected through Facebook. One day, Cass posted a picture of a Clemson football coach she saw on a flight. And, because Brett had been on the team, they struck up a conversation. Soon, they were officially dating! Several months later, Brett proposed to Cass while they were visiting Paris. And outside Sacred Heart Cathedral, at the city’s highest point, above all its bustle, she said yes!

This gorgeous couple are South Carolina natives, both were born in raised in Charleston. And although they live in Columbia now, they wanted their wedding to be a celebration of their hometown. They featured pineapples, a traditional symbol of “welcome”, alongside Charleston-themed table names in their reception decor.

Cass was stunning in her trumpet cut gown with its illusion neckline and Brett was dapper in navy blue. The wedding party was dressed to the nines in navy blue gowns and tuxes. And the ladies carried classic white bouquets!

Blush lighting, gold accents and red and white florals completed the decor and pops of purple added dimension. After dinner and dancing, Cass and Brett’s guests showed them some love with a beautiful bubble send off. Congratulations you two!
