Sara and Chen met in gym class. It was during their freshmen year of high school. In the beginning, Chen threw basketballs at Sara to get her attention. Smooth moves, Chen! But obviously, it worked. Because eight years later, they were buying a house together. And that’s where these adorable high school sweethearts got engaged. Soon after they closed on the house, Chen asked Sara to meet him there. When she walked in, she knew he planned to propose. Although she says she wasn’t surprised, she got very emotional. But through joyful tears, she said yes!
Sara and Chen’s wedding day started with first looks and portraits at Frederick Maryland’s Stone Manor Country Club. After that, they exchanged vows during a ceremony which included a Persian Sofreh Aghd, a tradition in which family offers ceremonial items that relate to the couple’s new married life.
Sara was gorgeous in her classic A-line gown and Chen was handsome in blue. Meanwhile, the wedding party was perfectly styled. The ladies in pale pink and the guys in blue to match the groom. The reception decor featured greenery and pastel florals. Gold accents and pops of pink completed the design. At the same time, vintage touches added some glam! Sara and Chen danced all night under the glow of strung Edison lights. And when they finally made their getaway, everyone gathered for a fun sparkler send off. Congratulations Sara and Chen!
