Leigh and Nick’s Joyful Garden Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Leigh and Nick met during their sophomore year at Virginia Tech. However, they were just friends until their senior year. That’s when they finally realized their true feelings. And so, they started dating.

Four years later, Nick proposed on a weekend trip to Leigh’s parents’ lake house. He waited on the dock for Leigh. When she arrived, he got down on one knee. And while her family watched from the shore, he told her how much she meant to him. Then he asked her to be his wife. Of course, she said yes!

They said “I do” at the Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast in Middleburg, Virgina. Leigh was gorgeous in a sleek fitted gown and Nick was handsome in gray. The bridesmaids provided the “something blue” with their periwinkle gowns. And the groomsmen’s suits matched Nick’s. At the same time, the florals leant a joyful pop of yellow. And after their first married kiss, friends and family showered Leigh and Nick with confetti.

The reception decor featured sunflowers and sage green. Meanwhile, rustic touches completed the day’s styling. Leigh and Nick made a non-traditional grand entrance to “Twist and Shout”. And to put their own spin on it, they dressed in “Ferris Bueller” style costumes. They looked just like Ferris and Sloane! After that, the dance floor was packed all night long. Congratulations Leigh and Nick!
