Megan and Matt’s Lavish Museum Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Megan and Matt met on Valentine’s Day. One of their coworkers threw a party for fellow singles, so they both decided to attend. And the sparks flew right away! Soon, they fell madly in love. For their wedding at the LA County Natural History Museum, they created a luxurious, gala inspired event. But above all, they were surrounded by love… and dinosaur bones!

Megan was stunning in her sleek gown with its sexy lace bodice and illusion neckline. And Matt was dashing in his classic black tuxedo. Meanwhile, the wedding party brought the glam in all black and the ladies carried lush boho-chic bouquets. The happy couple exchanged vows beside a modern gold arbor while the museum’s impressive architecture added drama.

After that first married kiss, Matt and Megan posed for photos with a T-Rex before heading into their reception. The decor featured dark linens and gold accents and at the same time, the museum’s dioramas added whimsy to the design. Vintage touches and modern signage combined with richly colored florals to complete the day’s styling. And after dinner, the dance floor was rocking! Congratulations Megan and Matt!

  1. Megan and Matt had a very specific vibe they were trying to convey throughout the wedding, so when it came to acrylic signage, bar sign, seating, welcome sign, they were very specific about what they wanted. And they nailed it! I so enjoyed working with them, thank you XOXO Weddings for including Simply Stated in another one of your beautiful events!
