Melissa & Kirk are a very yin yang couple. She’s the outgoing, free spirited, fun and laid back bride. Kirk is more quiet & reserved but undoubtedly cool. They shine when they are together and you can see it the minute their eyes meet. They had a very hot and steamy summer day about 90 degrees and 90% humidity.
They had planned for an outdoor wedding ceremony at Grounds for Sculpture but due to the quick moving summer storms they had to switch plans and move it last minute to the art gallery. Kirk and Melissa are very emotional sensitive people and when they heard the string quartet practicing before the ceremony they both broke down in happy tears. But more happy tears came when Kirk saw Melissa walking down the aisle. The minute they met the sun shined through into the gallery and the storm passed.
Due to the weather their reception was pushed back and dinner ran long but the dancing and speeches were legendary and filled with passion and emotion. They finished the night with a walk through the grounds looking at the sculptures at night with two glasses of wine.
