A MidSummer’s Wedding Dream: Madison & Drew

Story and photos by Brandy Angel Photography

Madison is a bride that is used to overcoming hard things. She has had two open-heart surgeries since she was born and is undergoing her third this December. When she began planning her dream wedding to her high school sweetheart she had no idea that she would be dealing with a worldwide pandemic, nationwide protests, and CDC guidelines that caused her to cut down her guest list to 40 people and find a new venue just two weeks before her wedding date. Luckily her father’s friend had the perfect place for their wedding and everything came together seamlessly. Mother Nature even delivered the most perfect sunset I’ve seen all year.  It just goes to show that no matter what happens on your wedding day that seems like it could ruin everything if you go with the flow and roll with the punches and remember what weddings are really about, you will have a perfect start to your marriage and have beautiful memories to look back on.  I know COVID19 is changing the face of the wedding industry but I think it might be doing us a huge favor.  It is forcing us to focus on what is really important, who is really important, and why we are there in the first place. Our weddings can get be more focused on our bride and groom and the beginning of their lives together, and I for one am all for that.
