Destination Wedding in San Diego

Photos and story by Paul Douda Photography

Travel bugs a.k.a. Jordan & Mirtza have spent their relationship traveling the world together. They have seen so many sites and Jordan even planned a romantic scavenger hunt around Italy to propose to Mirtza. Being from Louisiana, Jordan & Mirtza had never been to San Diego but have always loved the ocean and the idea of having an intimate seaside wedding with their closest family and friends. It was beautiful to see how many people traveled across the country to witness their special day. Especially during a pandemic! Instead of a traditional guest book, they opted for their guests to sign a globe which they will use to plan future trips and wives.

Jordan and Mirtza hosted a simple and beautiful wedding overlooking Sunset Cliffs followed by a reception dinner at the historic Old Town Tequila Factory. During the ceremony, Jordan paid tribute to her twin sister who passed away when they were only teenagers. On Mirtza’s bouquet was a photo charm of her Aunt & Uncle who also passed. Both families were represented and celebrated throughout the day and it was an honor to capture their special union. Congrats Jordan & Mirtza!
