From the moment that I walked into Mary Elizabeth’s AC Hotel suite I was treated like family! The entire wedding party was so much fun, and you could feel the love all around. One of the coolest parts of the entire day was meeting all the bridesmaids and groomsmen, as most of them were not from South Carolina. Before I go further, can we talk about this flower girl? She was so precious and so funny. She even decided to do her own show during the ceremony.
Adam was one of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure of meeting. The love he has for Mary Elizabeth was pouring out of him. I love how emotional he was about the entire day, and he did not attempt to hide it. I could feel the nervousness and emotions building in him as I set up their first look. I thought he was going to bust at the seams waiting on his chance to turn around and see his bride. Well when he finally did, all the emotion flowed. It was a moment I know that I will remember forever.
Every detail of the wedding had this beautiful, simple elegance to it. The black and white attire stood perfectly against the dynamic views of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
After the gorgeous, traditional ceremony the party headed to Indigo Hall. The DJ played the most amazing music, the food catered by Willie Taco was delicious, and the hand crafted desserts were to die for! Adam and Mary Elizabeth played the shoe game, and they even had a contest to see which couple at the reception has been married the longest. The entire evening was filled with so much joy, fun, and love. This was a dream wedding and dream day. Certainly a wedding I will remember forever.
I loved the cool idea that Mary Elizabeth and Adam had for their reception. You selected a wrist band when you arrived that was either Green, Yellow, or Red. Each color indicating your comfort level with closeness and touching. If there is one positive thing about the COVID pandemic, it is the creativity that couples have come up with.
