A Traditional Catholic Charro Wedding provided an array deeply rooted Spanish traditions that authenticated admiration and of the beautiful elegance. Erick and Nayeli knew they wanted to be surrounded by close family and friends on their wedding day. Their whole day was filled with love and romance as they incorporated breath taking traditions. The bride incorporated as many personal details as possible. One of the traditional customs in Spanish Catholic weddings is for the bride and groom to share 13 coins known as arras or unity coins, which represent their commitment to sharing the goods they have and will have in the future. The bride’s mother put together a custom bouquet filled with eucalyptus leaves and a gorgeous array of fragrant blush and white roses, with accents of babies breath to be carried by her daughter. The church service was held at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Merced, California. The couple having Both having Spanish heritage they wanted to celebrate their deep roots and love
of their culture with a traditional Charro style which memorized all around them. The reception following he church service took place in a Spanish Country house setting. The ceremony space was adorned with lovely botanical flower centerpieces with many Spanish elements. The guests were greeted with with many varieties of cocktails served in terra cotta jars. Nayeli and Ericks most touching moments were full of loving, and personal gestures made throughout the evening. A father daughter dance to “Tu Sangre en mi Cuperpo”, and an energetic and colorful performances by the band El Nuevo Escuadron Norteno, made the night so lively and festive for all the guest.
This wedding was so beautiful to watch unfold as they both brought back many traditions and simplistic touches from family, that the focus was on the couple, stories and the realness of bringing two families together.
