Siobhan and Jeff met in junior high, but it wasn’t until high school that they became best friends when they were seated next to each other in their freshman world history class. They were just friends until the end of their sophomore year, when they started dating. This adorable couple was still going strong on the day of Siobhan’s apartment warming party for her new place. She was busily getting snacks and drinks for her guests, who were in the living room where Jeff was entertaining them. Jeff called Siobhan into the room to give her a hug. They were standing in front of the TV when one of their friends pointed out that they were blocking the view. Siobhan’s response was, “it’s ok, we’re just being cute”, to which Jeff replied, “and we’re about to get a lot more cute”. Then he got down on one knee and asked Siobhan to be his wife. Of course, she said yes, and wedding planning was underway. They chose to say “I do” at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, Indiana because they loved its style and its on site chapel. And because Siobhan has always loved New Year’s Eve, they chose the last weekend of the year to tie the knot with a New Year’s theme in formal gold and black.
Siobhan was gorgeous in her modern ballgown with its sweetheart neckline and crystal strap detailing. She finished her look with jeweled T-strap pumps and a white fur wrap for outdoor photos. Her bridesmaids wore sparkling ivory gowns with gray fur wraps for some winter glam and all of the ladies carried bouquets of roses and hydrangea. Siobhan’s was all white and her gals’ featured delicate pops of blush. Jeff and his groomsmen were dapper in classic black tuxes. The guys in ivory vests and ties, Jeff in yellow gold.
At the reception, tables were set with black linens and gold chargers and the centerpieces, which were all handmade by Jeff’s mom and her friends, featured white hydrangea and gilded branches with crystal details. They were the perfect dazzling decor for a New Year’s Eve wedding. Flickering votive candles completed the tablescapes and the couple’s four-tiered wedding cake sat atop a table draped with a glittering gold cloth. After dinner and toasts to wish the newlyweds love, luck and happiness in their new married life, everyone took to the dance floor to party the night away and celebrate Siobhan and Jeff. Congratulations you two!
