Winter Snowmobile Elopement in Colorado
This fun winter elopement features a snowmobile adventure, which is one of the best ways to get to gorgeous mountain locations in the snow.
At the start of the day, I met up with Jacey and Cori and their two friends at the snowmobile company office. We immediately began joking around and having a good time. You could tell their anticipation was immense. They were a bit nervous, but so excited to say ‘I do’. We got ready, getting into our snowmobile outfits, getting helmets, and boots. Finally, we were ready to depart.
When we got to the snowmobiles, the laughs started to flow. We got out safety briefing, learned how to ride the vehicles, and set all our gear up. Then we were off. First through the trees, and then up high, with the great expanse of Winter Park before us. We made a couple stops to take in the views, but went all the way to the tippy top. The weather was so windy and cold that we could only hang out at the top for a few seconds before we had to descend. We whipped around in an open area, letting the snowmobiles fly.
Then we went to our ceremony spot, which featured train trestles and hills and incredible views all around. Jacey and Cori wanted to get changed on the mountain so we set up a changing tent and one at a time they put on their ceremony outfits. Jacey looked absolutely gorgeous in her green dress, while Cori was the epitome of dapper. Once they were all set, they got into their ceremony location and took each other’s hands.
The vows they said to each other brought tears down both their eyes. Not waiting for a first kiss, they immediately embraced for a sweet kiss and hug. Then they continued with rings, “I do’s” and the rest. It was a truly joyous moment and their so very sweet love shined incredibly bright. Afterwards we took photos of all four of them, and then just Jacey and Cori alone. They laughed and twirled and it was clear that they were having a blast.
When it was time to go, we threw our snowmobile clothes back on and rode our vehicles to the finish. But the adventure wasn’t over. On the way back we stopped to take some star photos. While the night was far too cloudy to get anything more than a handful of stars, and the cold wind sent shivers down our spines, the love these two shared kept us super warm and happy. We pulled out some lanterns and had fun exploring with light and darkness, kisses and hugs.
From there we went off to their Airbnb. It was really important to Jacey and Cori to have some intimate moments with each other. So we lit a fire in the living room fireplace, lit what felt like 100 candles, and put on some romantic soft music, as they reflected on their day, the love the shared and commitments they had made. It was a beautiful moment where their love really shone through in the most powerful way, and a perfect ending to the day.
