Rustic Wedding for Maddie + Joey

Maddie + Joey had the perfect rustic fall wedding at Sacred Mountain. Julian is one of my favorite little towns, tucked away in the mountains east of San Diego. It’s the perfect escape from the city, and you completely forget you’re in Southern California. Their ceremony overlooked the vast valley of trees beneath the mountain, a breathtaking scene! Their goofy and bubbly personalities had everyone giggling, but nobody could hold back tears during their sweet vows. My favorite part about working with these two was just how incredibly genuine they were. You know the minute you meet good souls!

There’s nothing that gets me emotional quite like dad moments, and Maddie and her dad had quite a few that made me misty eyed. I just had to include a few shots of their parent dances, it was such a sweet moment for both families. Their reception was gorgeous thanks to Holly Kalkin and her team, the turned the space into a rustic and whimsical dream!
