Interview with the Happy Couple

-How did you meet?

“I met Jay through my friend. Her boyfriend at the time (now husband) was best friends with Jay. When I met Jay, I just knew that he was it!”

-Why did you choose to elope?

“I had always wanted something small. The micro weddings became a thing because of COVID. We didn’t want to have the stress and the expense of a big wedding. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a big wedding but to us, it was a party for all our friends and family. I wanted my wedding day to be about Jay and I. We have a guest list of 20 people and we got to spend time with each person. It was so special and very intimate. It was stress-free and exactly what we both wanted.”

-How did you choose your elopement location?

“I love Balboa park. It is one of my favorite places in San Diego. We originally wanted sunset cliffs but there wasn’t a permit available but it was a blessing in disguise because we got to have our reception at one of our favorite restaurants right next to the park! It was perfect.”
