Travel Themed Wedding at Chateau Luxe

Sarah and David are avid fans of baseball and traveling, two elements that were elegantly woven into their vibrant wedding day at Chateau Luxe at the beginning of April! Fittingly, they met while playing slow pitch softball and went on their first date to Dave and Busters. When the timing was just right, David took Sarah on a hike to Sedona, where he asked her to marry him. Since then, they have decorated their apartment with all of their favorite travel theme decors, continued to go on adventures, and grew their little family by eight fur paws.

On their wedding day, they put the family at the forefront of their experience and timeline, saving most of their portrait time for our epic Sedona adventure where Sarah and David will get redressed in their wedding attire and hike to the most breathtaking views for photos. They decided to go the traditional route, seeing each other for the first time as Sarah walked down the aisle, arm-in-arm with her dad.

Aside from the amazing family support they both had on their wedding day, the love and friendship they obviously share, and the way they prioritize their family, one of my favorite elements was their decor and DIY travel-themed projects that were so true to them. Not going to lie, sometimes DIY items and fake flowers don’t have that elegant feel we are typically gravitated to. Not something I would typically think to submit for publication…but, let me tell you! The bright and vibrant florals (a mixture of real and fake) took me to the beaches of Hawaii. The travel trunks and globes took me on a grand European adventure. The baseball tickets and personalized postcards spoke so earnestly to the couple that it was finally something unique at a wedding!

The Chateau Luxe was also perfectly surrounded by the same kinds of vibrant florals that grew in the gardens and around the perimeter of the ceremony site. It was the perfect setting for such a fun and colorful wedding.

I am submitting this album, not only because I think Sarah and David’s hard work deserves to be seen and the photos turned out beautifully, but because their wedding day was different, and I think it could be great inspiration for brides and grooms thinking of stepping a little outside the box and going with a theme on their wedding day!
