Griffon Murphy & Mercedes Barham recount their story of how they met and how they fell in love.
How did you meet?
“Griffon and I are high school sweethearts. We have known each other since the sixth grade, but didn’t start dating until our senior year.”
Why did you choose to elope?
“We wanted an intimate ceremony that was also very affordable. Eloping allowed us to travel and make our wedding an adventure with many memories.”
Why did you choose your elopement location?
“We chose Tennessee because of the gorgeous mountains, and we wanted to get away from the beach scenery. There was so much to do in Gatlinburg and we enjoyed every moment. The specific location for the venue, Ely’s Mill, we chose because of the rustic look it gave and the amazing background the nature around us provided, while also giving us privacy away from the big city. We even bought a Christmas ornament from Ely’s Mill for our first Christmas as a married couple!”
