Modern Vintage Church Wedding Ceremony

The new shell was painted with the lyrics “cause down the shore everything’s alright,” a lyric that was an unmistakable line from the song Jersey Girl. It has become tradition for Joe and Kelly to listen Jersey Girl as they cross the North Wildwood bridge as Kelly played the song the night before the proposal with no knowledge of what was about to happen that weekend!

Kelly couldn’t believe there was as shell with those lyrics on it! Joe encouraged her to read the inside of the shell – “I hope today you’ll wear this ring.” As Kelly turned around in shock and happiness, Joe was on one knee asking her to marry him.

Full of emotion, Kelly said yes and the newly engaged couple embraced each other and shared their happiness and love. Before Kelly could have a chance to wipe away her happy tears, she was overcome with confusion and shock as the cheers and applause came from family and friends who had been hiding around the corner and recorded the entire proposal! Joe did it again and Kelly was overcome with joy as she had realized that she had gotten yet another surprise that day.

Joe and Kelly’s proposal and engagement has been a true love story, filled with love, happiness, and excitement as they both get ready to embark on their infinite journey with each other. This beautiful day was sentimental, well planned, and beautiful! So many personal touches and DIY with elegant and timeless touches. This bride had ALL the ideas for the perfect day!

How they met: Joe and Kelly met online dating. We didn’t click right away after a few dates, but social media kept us connected. a few years later, after comments, likes, and snapchats, conversation and friendship grew into love and passion and we decided we had to be together!

Their Engagement Story: March 27, 2021 is a day to remember! Kelly is nearly impossible to surprise, but Joe did it! An ordinary walk on the North Wildwood sea wall to the Hereford Lighthouse gardens led to a huge surprise.

Kelly bought her beach condo just before COVID in December 2019. That spring as the world was trying to find happiness, bring encouragement and cheer to others, Kelly and Joe found a painted sea shell in an arbor in the light house gardens. Kelly began painting rocks and shells to spread the love around the community.

As Kelly and Joe were taking their “ordinary” walk on March 27, Kelly immediately was drawn to the arbor where the first shell was found. There was another shell this time!

The new shell was painted with the lyrics “cause down the shore everything’s alright,” a lyric that was an unmistakable line from the song Jersey Girl.
