This gorgeous wedding and reception spanned two states (divided by the Mississippi River) and provided guests with amazing natural and historical beauty unique to each setting.

The venues were carefully chosen to reflect the couples wedding vision of having two distinctly different and unbelievably romantic settings. Each venue provided the character, warmth, charm and unique feel that the bride and groom envisioned for their wedding day and wedding weekend.

The ceremony took place at the stunning and historic Renwick Mansion in Davenport, Iowa that was reminiscent of European castle royalty.  An extraordinary and special detail was that the officiant for the wedding was Dr. Randall Mullin who delivered the groom into the world 43 years prior! He joked during the ceremony that he had literally known Joshua for his entire life.  The reception took place just across the Mississippi River at a modern, yet rustic,  timber frame barn located in Port Byron, Illinois.

The days events brought guests across two states providing two very different aesthetics.  The added touches of a classic car introduction/entry, delicious food, dreamy color palate and décor, and specially designed hand fabricated champagne tower made by the groom himself were just a few details that added to the magic of the day.  Unique, detailed, meaningful and magical are a few words to describe this event. We hope you enjoy the photos.
