Kayla and Derek’s Whimsical Romantic Wedding

When a wedding planner gets married!

No details were missed on this beautiful romantic September Wedding at Pythian House Cottage location in beautiful Wine Country Ca. This property sustained damage from the fires in 2020 but the venue remained untouched.

At only 100 guests it was both intimate and emotional. Derek lost his mother a few years ago to Cancer, and Kayla had two kids from past relationships so family was at top importance to this day. They wrote personalized thank you cards to every single person who came.

Meeting on Bumble they decided to incorporate that into some of the decor, personalized honey jars on a honeycomb structure Derek built.

With all vendors being close friends of Kaylas all had a seat at the dinner reception, and 4 past clients of Kayla’s one of which flew from Chicago to share that special day with them!

The ceremony was nestled between the cottages with the creek flowing behind.

Cocktail hour was on the main cottages deck area which leads down to the natural creek flowing through the property.

Dinner was hosted on the beautiful lawn which wraps around the house surrounded by Coi fish ponds and redwood trees. All the tables used John the property owner has made by hand.

They ended the night with an interactive cover band which had every single person dancing the night away!

The feel of the day was overwhelmed with love, so much thought, and fun. The couple really brought in both of their personalities and styles to the wedding day.
