When Michele and Paul were planning their wedding, it was extremely important to Michele that they be married in her childhood church on the island of Saltaire NY. The only problem is that during the summer months, there are no cars allowed so Michele and Paul planned their entire wedding with ferries and water taxis for their guest!
The pre-ceremony and ceremony took place in Saltaire where guests were ferried over from the main land where the reception would be held. Guests walked along the boardwalk taking in the sea air while making their way to the church for the ceremony.
Even though this was a church ceremony, the couple still chose to do a first look with one another to get most of their photos done and share their own vows privately with one another. First looks are always emotional!
Michele surprised her mom with a heartfelt mother daughter dance and the couple ended the night with a sparkler exit before heading back to their water taxi to have an after party on the party with friends!
After the ceremony concluded Michele and Paul hopped a custom pedicab driven by the bride’s brother to make their way over to the docks to catch their water taxi to the reception.
The reception was held at the Bayview house in Bay Shore NY and was simply stunning with details!
Michele wore a custom dress made by Samantha Sleeper that had a removable lace long-sleeve jacket that she wore for the ceremony.
