Jennifer and Jose’s Quintessential California Vow Renewal

Jennifer & Jose met when they were just 16 years old,  Jose came to visit from Chicago for winter break where he joined his brother at their church and thats where he met Jennifer. At first Jennifer wasn’t interested but Jose was patient and  four years later the two said yes in a humble backyard wedding. Unfortunately they only have a handful of photos from the day because a family member took photos with their personal camera and the memory card they were using was corrupted and the photos of the day were lost.

For their ten year anniversary Jennifer wanted to go all out and capture the meaningful moments they weren’t able to capture the first time and now they were in the position to spend the money on the things they weren’t able to before.

They told me the vibe they were going for and I threw out the idea that they should rent a cool vintage car because that would just really put the whole day over the top and that I had a friend with the perfect classic Mercedes for the job. They loved the idea and we booked the car and then the magic happened.

We drove down to Santa Barbara together and spent the day running around the breathtaking Santa Barbara County Courthouse. Luck was on our side that day because the parking in Santa Barbara is always congested but we happened to find not one but two perfect parking spots where we could capture the lovers in the car with a stunning view of the courthouse in the back.

We ended the day eating tacos and laughing about the funny characters we met and how many people stopped to congratulate the “newlyweds” on their special day.
