Morgan and Cody’s Classic Waterfront Fall Wedding

Cody and Morgan started out as friends, but decided to take a chance on one another. From traveling together to visiting lots of breweries, and from doggy snuggles to all the outdoor adventures, they truly love doing “all the things” in life together.

Morgan and Cody’s wedding took place on a cool November Friday in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, at the Creek Club at Ion. The weather forecast for the day was rainy and stormy, and the skies were a cool overcast grey. But you would never know that from the excitement that radiated from Morgan and Cody’s faces all day. We are still convinced that their happiness and love is what caused the rain to pause and give us the most beautiful outdoor ceremony that day.

Cody and Morgan leaned in to the natural beauty that is Charleston for their wedding day. The beautiful oaks with hanging moss provided the most gorgeous backdrop for their waterfront ceremony.

The champagne bridesmaid dresses and modern all black suits added a soft sophistication to their classic wedding. Small touches of greenery and floating candles for their tablescapes added pops of earthy color and a welcoming warmth for their guests.

Of course they had to incorporate their sweet husky, Bane, into each part of the day. From getting ready, to their wedding cake and signature cocktail, to blessing him during their ceremony.

The skies cleared just long enough to let us have their private session on the dock with views of the Wando River.

They ended the night doing what they love most, dancing and partying the night away with all their friends and family, especially to songs like Mr. Brightside by The Killers.
