Wes and Yenna’s Blended Korean American Micro Wedding

Captured & submitted by Elissa Deline Photography

Wes and Yenna met and got married in the heart of Chicago. They’re both Korean American, so they wanted to represent both sides of their cultures and do their wedding their way by incorporating traditional bits from both Korean and American traditions. Kinda. While they did have an American ceremony, there were elements that made it uniques theirs: Yenna walked herself down the aisle, gave her dad some love on her way to greet Wes at the ‘altar,’ Yenna’s brother walked Rosey the dog, aka the flower girl down the aisle, they had a dear friend officiate, wrote their own vows to each other, and it all took place in the vibiest, cleanest, minimalist looking space – The Walden in Chicago.

After the American ceremony, we did couples portraits on the rooftop, had cocktails, cute cake, and went straight into the Korean Paebaek. The yummiest light poured through the windows, and afterward the reception was deep, moody, and perfectly minimalist.

I hope you enjoy!
