Jamie and Alec’s North Cascades Hiking Elopement with Friends and Pups

Jamie and Alec are a super adventurous couple who love to hike together. In fact, the couple not only got engaged on a mountain, but they also took their engagement photos with me while on a hike to Trillium Lake.

They knew they wanted to elope with a view of the mountains, so when they reached out to start planning their elopement, I immediately went on the hunt for the perfect spot! We eventually landed on Artist Point in the North Cascades and it checked all of the boxes. It had sweeping views of the mountains, a short hike for them and their guests, and it also allows dogs.

Artist Point is truly a gem in the Cascade range and has the most gorgeous scenery everywhere you look so I couldn’t have been more excited when they agreed to have their elopement there.

The couple started their day at their cabin in Glacier, WA. They invited three of their friends to come along, as well as Alec’s brother. Everyone brought their dogs which made for the cutest combination of friends and fur pets.

The group all got ready at the cabin before heading up the mountain. Jamie and Alec did a private first look off the main trail with sweeping views of Mt Baker in the background. After the dress reveal, they exchanged personal vows before continuing the hike with the rest of their group. We took our time getting to the top, stopping occasionally along the way to take couple photos.

Once we arrived at the top, we found a gorgeous spot with 360º views of the surrounding mountains for their ceremony. Alec’s brother officiated the sweetest ceremony and their doodle Riley was the ring bearer. Seriously, how cute is that?!

After pronouncing them husband and wife, Jamie and Alec celebrated their union by popping champagne and enjoying a charcuterie picnic on the mountainside.

As the sun started to set we made our way back down the mountain, taking more photos along the way and soaking in the stunning views. The couple signed their marriage license on a fallen log in true outdoor fashion and after the sun had gone over the horizon, we busted out the lanterns and took some fun blue-hour photos.
