They say that rain on a wedding day is good luck, but when you hear a hurricane is due to hit the island of Cape may the day of your wedding… that can damper anyones mood. We prepared to be washed out of Sam and Malcom’s winery wedding, so it was a welcome surprise that we would get to enjoy some sun! Excitement was flowing through the house the morning of getting ready. Sam was surrounded by her bouncy bridesmaids and supportive parents as she got her wedding dress to prepare for her first look.

At the winery Malcom waited patiently for Sam to arrive. They shared such a sweet first look in front of the vines, with a peep of sun in the clouds. Sam and Malcolm‘s easy-going personalities fit like puzzle pieces with our go-with-the-flow, rain-or-shine kinda day. Right down to the ceremony, where her veil decided to fly with the hurricane winds! Her guests and little buddies helped her secure the veil back on her head so she could meet her man down the aisle. The couple got wed in front of the iconic Isaac winery barn with florals by Cape May flower Co.

They celebrated their union in a stunning tent long, beautiful decorated tables with each location the couple has visited together over their relationship. From national parks to over seas, they are a well traveled team.

After being pronounced husband and wife, the family kicked off their shoes and danced until their final family song, Piano man.

As a sweet detail to their portraits, Sam brought their hunter boots to splash in the rains of Hurricane Ivan, who decided to be the best “no-show” Ever.
