Jenna and Tyler’s Rainy and Romantic Wedding in the Schoharie Valley

Jenna and Tyler’s wedding took place on a warm and rainy September day at Henry Hill Farms in the Schoharie Valley. Jenna and Tyler both grew up in and around Schoharie and lived within 15 minutes of the venue. I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement session before booking their wedding and I fell in love with them both from the start! Their wedding day started off sunny and hot and they both got ready in the upstairs suites of the barn’s loft. As I walked up to the venue, I could hear dogs and chickens and see cats walking around doing their own thing – I knew this was my kind of place! Both suites were connected to one long single balcony which is where they decided to do their first look. Both Jenna and Tyler’s sisters surprised them at their first look by bringing their dog from home who sat and watched from below the balcony. The sky stayed clear for group photos, their bride and groom photos as well as the first look. Ten minutes before the ceremony was supposed to begin outside, the rain started. Typically this would be a nightmare scenario for many brides but not Jenna, she was not upset by the rain. They pushed their ceremony back a bit until the rain turned into a sprinkle and they continued on with their original ceremony plan. The reception took place inside the barn where there was tiered seating in a beautiful and rustic space. The large barn doors stayed open and allowed light and the cool fresh rainy air to enter the barn where Tyler and Jenna danced the night away with their friends and family.
