After nearly 10 years of together, Leila and Nick finally got engaged! The night of Thanksgiving, just the two of them. As healthcare providers who spend most of their time in the ear, nose and throat they spent that holiday, like most others of 2020, in their own social bubble. So after a decade together and in the midst of the pandemic, they didn’t want to wait any longer to say their I Dos. They decided to have an intimate, private, family only wedding in September 2021 amidst the vineyards and lakes of Upstate NY. They ended up renting a house and planning a 5 day getaway for their families full of excursions, live music, a welcome BBQ, and an elegant family wedding dinner. Leila loved the idea of incorporating color that stemmed from Lebanon – had we not been in the midst of the pandemic their wedding may have taken place in Lebanon so to tie in elements of the architecture and colors were truly important. We also incorporated cultural elements in food and signage – one of the signs is Arabic lyrics also translated into English of a song Leila’s uncle wrote for her wedding day.
