Wedding at Cornerstone at the Plaza
Matt and Tara chose to get married in the city of Albany, New York – also less known as the capital of New York State. I started by heading to their house to take some getting ready photos where their house was filled with art and music, guitars lined the walls and plants filled the window sills. Afterwards, we headed to the Empire State Plaza for their first look. For their ceremony – all of their guests took the elevator 42 stories up Corning Tower to the observation deck for their ceremony overlooking all of Albany. Once their ceremony was complete, we headed back down for some photos in front of the Egg where they both loved to go see shows. Formal group photos were taken in front of the New York State Museum and then we headed to the reception which was right next to the Egg in the Cornerstone at the Plaza. All of these locations were historic and were within walking distance. What made their wedding so unique and special were the finishing touches that were uniquely them. The guestbook guitar, the cookies individually wrapped as favors made by a friend with a bakery. The mood was fun, vibrant and wild.
