Adam and Grace are a vibrant young couple that live and work in Los Angeles. They wanted to keep their wedding close to home while still creating a vibe that had their guests feeling like they were on a retreat far from the hustle and noise of the city.
The Smog Shoppe can best be described as a beautiful and unique oasis in the heart of Los Angeles. It is easy to drive past this unassuming venue without giving it a second glance, as the exterior is that of an actual 1980’s smog-check center. Once you make it past the high walls however, you enter a very hip, urban space with warm vintage furnishings and incredible greenery of wall to wall desert plants and succulents. While this venue is absolutely stunning, it is green in more ways than one because it is also 100% solar powered.
The wedding day was full of beauty and emotion. The bride and groom shared a touching first look, walked down the isle to a string quartet and danced the night away next to vintage auto parts. The warm SoCal sun combined with the rich green hues of the succulent walls and the deep red of the bridesmaids dresses made for a beautiful palette. The bride and groom thoroughly enjoyed every second of their incredible day at the Smog Shoppe and we felt honored to be able to capture it all.
