I wasn’t originally the photographer for this wedding, but a few days before the big day, the original lead photographer got sick, and she wasn’t able to do it. Luckily, I had the availability and happened to see an ad looking for a replacement photographer. I quickly did a couple of phone calls with the bride and got up to speed. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch, working as smoothly as though I were the lead photographer the entire time! This is why it is so important to have followup and regular calls with your clients, even if last minute. Just that few minutes of getting to know them can help you establish exactly what their needs are!
